ISO rating
Has Canon published or has someone measured and posted the ISO sensitivity of the XL-H1 sensor at each gain setting?

I don't know if Canon has published their figures, but when we tested it we found the base sensitivity is 200.
Each 6dB of gain = a doubling of perceived sensitivity, so at 6dB = 400, 12dB = 800, etc. |

We were having trouble determining which was the exact ISO for using an incident light meter. We were trying to keep our key/fill ratios on the actor's faces consistant.
It would be nice to know the correct ISO correlation for light meter use. |
