Can't decide between 60i or 30f

Interesting discussion. I am in Europe so the choice for me is between 50i and 25F. Does the same apply as for 60i/30F/24F? The choice for me would be to shoot 50i and either keep it that way or convert it in post-production. Or shoot 25F straight away. I do not know which method yields a better image quality.

How are you guys editing the 30F? I see presets for 24F or 24P in FCP but don't see anything for 30F or 30P (in 1080)....I've even tried duplicating the 24F preset but can't get FCP to get a 30F "compressor" setting- how are you guys handling 30F footage?

Don't know about 1080, I'm still in the SD world :) As far as that goes though, I'm pretty sure I'm just editing it 60i.

I have used SD 30F since my XL1s days and I just load the clips into a standard NTSC DV timeline to edit. This has worked well for me, but I am guessing there might be a better solution. Anybody?
