For anyone in the LA area, We are having our next H1 seminar on Saturday, June 17th at 9am. Canon will have Greg Salmon here going over the camera, and cover both shooting and post questions that you may have. It's $25 and, yes, we will have food. I'll also go over the different accessories that are out there. You can sign up on our site - www.BirnsandSawyer.com or call us @ 323-466-8211

Could you ask him why the viewfinder does not display a round object as "round"? It is distorted, shorter than it is tall by about 94.5 percent.

Thanks, Barry

H1 Road Show in LA

I was at the H1 Road Show yesterday at Paramount Studios' famous stage 19. Many people showed and Canon also showed some new footage that various DPs had shot on there projects. All the key Canon technical and sales people were in attendance and so was Chris Hurd. I think the tour is off to Denver and finishes in New York. Also, we still have room for the H1 seminar this Saturday...9am....$25 including food!

p.s. Just got back from Switzerland (world cup mania was in full swing) And I got a chance to meet with a regular contributer here on DVinfo, Ron Pfister from the Basel area. He's a good guy and we had an enjoyable coffee together at Bahnoff Olten.

I, too, enjoyed our meeting in Olten! It's a small world, and places like DVInfo make it even smaller. Glad to hear you touched down safely on the other side of the pond! All the best for Sunday's seminar - wish I could be there!

Cheers,

Ron
