John Benton, are you a beta tester for the Letus35XL?
Hey John,
Are you testing the Letus35XL on your H1? If so, what are your impressions of the system so far? Do you have any sample footage? Any info. will be greatly appreciated! |

Hello Brian,
Yes, I am beta testing for Quyen Le, but the unit is back with him for some small modifications. It is a very beautiful thing with the H1, but I have yet to be able to test it yet. As soon as I get it back I would love to post results...but, in all fairness to Quyen, his product is in development and my critique and comments go first to him so he can choose to adress them. As far as I know, he does not have access to an H1 yet and so the beta testers have been his eyes and ears with this unit. I think he understands what a magnificent thing he might have and he has been very responsive! (for those of you who don't know, Quyen has built a 35mm adapter for Canon's XL series: http://letus35.com/35XL1.JPG It has a relay lens, so it is not mounted on top of Canon's already long lens. It also has a built in image flip !) - All that said, my experience with this so far is that it look very promessing and I look forward to posting footage ! Cheers, John |
