Drop outs in freezing weather.
After reviewing a tape shot in temperatures just a couple of degrees below freezing, I noticed a couple of completely missing shots. It appears to be extended drop outs as there is timecode and you got the odd flash frame. The camera had been out in the cold for an hour or so without any form of cover. The tech specs state a minimum temp of 0c. It could also be down to the heads bedding in. Something I have experienced on many brand new DV camcorders.

I was ok in Park City sub-freezing weather for hours with no dropouts.
