XL H1 and the Canon 1.6x extender
I know that there has been much discussion about the EF adaptor on the XL H1, but I don't think I have read much about the 1.6x extender and how well it performs on the H1. I am planning on purchasing the H1 but only after I hear (and ultimately try for myself) how the extender performs on the H1. This is important for me because I will be using the camera almost exclusively for wildlife videography and need the extra optical zoom. Since I already have the extender and several EF lenses I am hoping that the adaptor and extender will continue to perform well on the H1. I am hoping that I will not have to buy some HD version of the adaptor and extender that Canon may produce later on if necessary. If anyone has an extender they could try out on the H1 (Shannon?) I would really appreciate a quick test.
By the way the low light test Shannon performed also encouraged me because often I am shooting in low light either in the evenings or in the mornings. Thanks. Jared Teter www.teterhorn.com |

Excellent ongoing discussion on the EF adaptor: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=56642
Some of these folks I think may also have the 1.6 Extender?
