Yep - Daniel is exactly spot on. Went direct to Schneider/Century's facility to get the answers I needed. The only difference for the Century .8X wide converter is what becomes a spacer ring to move the wide converter lense away from the Canon 20X lense physically to prevent damage.

And as others have reported, this wide angle converter is usable with no major vignetting/barrel distortion.
