Recording the Time and the Date
I can see in the manual how to display the date and time in the viewfinder when you are recording, but as far as I can see that isn't recorded .
Obviously most of the time that's fine, but I've got a recording coming up where it would be very helpful to record the date and time to tape (I'm not using an external recorder), but can't see any way of doing that. Does anyone know if it is possible? Any suggestions welcome. |

Paul,
Open the menu, scroll to system and go to the bottom of the menu and select next page, You will find character record on that page. Now press the set button and it will give you the option to choose on or off. |

Willard
Thanks for the comment, but I suspect my model is one of the earlier ones because I don't have that option. It's a shame but it looks like I've missed out on that feature because I've trawled right through the menus and can't find it anywhere. Thanks again for the info. Paul |

Re: Recording the Time and the Date
Paul,
My camera is as early as it gets, and I have that option. I'm assuming your talking about your replacement H1. Make sure your in the record menu and not the VCR/PLAY menu.

Re: Recording the Time and the Date
Hi
My stupid mistake - I was in VCR mode! It's working fine now. Many thanks to you both. Paul |
