Best advice to capture from the canon XLH1 footage
Hello all,
I recently shot some footage using a XLH1, recorded to mini DV tape. I recorded in HD. I now need to capture the footage. I'll be using the Canon XHA1 to capture. I need capture settings using Sony Vegas Pro (8 or 10). I'll be delivering on regular DVD. I want to be sure my raw footage matches my output to DVD. So I am not sure I should capture in 1920 X 1080 or 1440 X 1080. I don't want to lose any quality. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of you in advance. Doug |

Re: Best advice to capture from the canon XLH1 footage
Good afternoon,
There are numerous threads on this already. A simple way is to capture as hd, edit, go to dvd Archetect, set properties to your Sd settings and make your dvd. I turns ouot quite satisfactory. Oh yea, I am refering to using Sony Vegas and dvd archetect. You can down load a vegas trial if you like and it wil work.
