Frame Rate Switch
Apologies if this question has been asked before (I did do a search but to no avail) but what is the difference between the "F1" and the "F2" frame rate switches?
My cam is PAL by the way, Ron |

Re: Frame Rate Switch
I think I can answer my own question: "No difference in PAL land, there to accommodate 30f and 24f in NTSC land"

Re: Frame Rate Switch
You've answered your question correctly. If you do the service centre software upgrade that enables the XLH1 to switch between PAL and NTSC modes the F1 & F2 becomes 30 and 24 frames respectively...
It's just a pity that the upgrade needs to be done at a Canon Certified service centre with a price tag of 400 Euros... a little excessive in my opinion for something that should have been a standard feature on the camera to begin with. Its a pity that there's not a software upgrade version floating around the net that can be used to do the upgrade at home...
