Help! 24F video is recorded but won't playback
I recorded about 40min of HD footage in 24F (frame rate F2) with my XLH1. I have a deck and the tape doesn't work in the deck, so I went put the tape back in the camera and found:
1. There is no video when I play the tape, but there is timecode. 2. When the tape is played, the timecode doesn't move. When I hit Stop, the timecode catches up to where the tape has advanced to. 3. When I shuttle in Rewind, the timecode moves but there is no video. 4. When I shuttle in FFWD, the timecode moves AND I SEE VIDEO. But if I hit Play, the video isn't there. Does anyone know why this is happening and if it's possible to somehow salvage the video on the tape?

Also, tonight I tried to record at the end of the tape and it didn't work. I then switched the camera to 60i and it recorded fine. I switched the camera back to 24F and it was able to record to tape again.
Is there any chance there could be an issue with the Frame Rate switch? It seems to snap into F2 mode fine, but maybe something isn't quite connecting inside the camera?
