Problem capturing 50p to Final Cut Pro
I'm having problems trying to capture footage which was filmed at 50p into Final Cut Pro 7 with my Canon XL H1A HDV Camcorder via firewire 400. The problem is the footage is coming in at 25p, even though when I'm in Final Cut Pro at the Log & Capture screen and I enter the frame rate as 50p. I've tried different ways of capture settings, but the footage still comes into FCP at 25p, and not 50p as it was originally filmed.
Am I missing out on a step here? And do I need a video capture card to capture footage at 50p or is it something to do with FCP settings? Any help would be appreciated. |

Thereīs no way that Canon XL H1a could record in 50p. Itīs either 50i or 25p(f) if you have the PAL version of the camcorder.

Per's right, double check what frame rate it was. It's either 50i or 25P (25F as they call it I believe).
