XL-H1 to FCP Capture Problem... Help!
Aloha friends,
Having major Canon to Final Cut capture problems. Yesterday, the FireWire port on the Canon HV10 I bought to use as a deck suddenly died. Just before it stopped working, it would capture approx. 3 seconds, then stop, with the error message: "The end of tape has been encountered" I am now trying to use my XL-H1 to capture, and the same thing is happening? Does anyone have any clues? Thanks in Advance— Jeff in Honolulu |

I was having a similar problem with HDV input into my Final Cut System. Eventually tried an easy setup and Capture Now but it was strange. I think I had to ignore timecode and breaks (don't have the preferences in front of me) to get it to work. I have upgraded my edit system since then to use firewire 800 card for the drives and 400 for the deck input which has helped a lot of problems about system response so maybe that was the underlying issue
