Quick insight on audio output problems if possible? at DVinfo.net

I am needing to get audio from the camera out to an external source via the RCA jacks on the side of the camera. I have done this before. Now....for no reason that I can see at the moment, it is not working. In either camera mode or playback mode, I am not getting any signal coming out of the analog outputs. At the moment I have no other device to verify that the audio device I am connecting to is working, except when I phyically touch the end of the RCA cable I hear buzzing though the speakers...but then I plug into the XL-H1 and nothing.

Anyone have any quick ideas? Maybe something obvious that I am overlooking?

Marty,
Could be a menu setting for output. Check the Audio output settings between 1/2 and 3/4 (page 104 Manual). Are you locked into HDV or DV for playback? HTH

It could also be the hardware switch on the camera located next to the BNC connector.
