Price hike
Just been looking on a UK vendor's website and I notice the Canon XL-H1a has gone up by approx. £2000 (nearly 30%) - is this designed to make people buy and get the economy moving again...I don't think so :-)

Wow...Glad I got mine before Christmas !!
The price actually dropped £200 or £300 the week after I bought it, and I was a little miffed to say the least, but seems like I got it at the right time anyway. |

I phoned the vendor this morning. The reason is that Canon Europe buy from Canon Japan, but Canon UK buy from Canon Europe instead of directly from Japan and with the exchange rates the ways they are the price has gone through the roof.
