Shooting SD on the XLH1

Just wondered if anyone has shot SD on this camera ? Would one use a regular SD tape or still shoot on the HDV tape ?

I just shoot the same type of tape always so I don't worry about having to clean out the heads. I guess I am one of the parinoid ones about switching tapes. If its not broke....

Sad to day, I've shot more SD than HD on our H1. Shoots beautiful footage. I agree with just using the same tape you've been running to bypass the potential problems of mixing different lubricants from different tape brands.

For what it's worth I find that most of the stuff i have to shoot in SD is stuff that I can get again if something goes wrong with the tape so I usually use the sony premium tape, for stuff that I know I won't be able to get again I typically use the sony digital master (this is often HDV stuff)
