O.K. is there a shotgun mic out there that can do it all?
Is there a shotgun mic for my A-1, that can bring in the sound to make it sound close up, like a lavalier?
I'm tempted to buy a lavalier but I need a shotgun more so. Re: microphones. I've probably spent $15k on mikes on my recording equipment...so I know you get what you pay for. So what would you all buy($$$ not an issue)if you had a shotgun mike hooked up to your A-1 that could do sound in a pinch....regardless of distance from the mike and make it sound good. What would you do? Tx. |

I take it you realize that an on-camera mic is a last resort thing. Best shotgun I've ever used on a camera is the Sanken CS3e. The venerable ME64 does a surprisingly good job as well, but it's not a shotgun.
