Is there a way to check drum hours?
Does anyone know of a key combo or other way to check the drum hours on a XL-H1?

Sad but true. Canon does not provide a way for the operator to access that information.

Can a Canon service department find out, or does the camera just not keep track?

yeah they'll tell you the drum hours at the service centers but you have to ask...
maybe all the dentists that bought $9K cameras would stop buying them if they actually knew how little the camera was used ;) -Jon
