Flashing 'LENS' with Fujinon x14
Hey people
Just thought I'd see whether you expect to see 'LENS' flashing on the viewfinder with this Lens. Everything seems to work ok, except for the annoying message of course ! I'm guessing as it has no power or signals from it the camera is thinking it doesnt have a lens on?? Anyone any experience with this ? Last edited by Mat Thompson; June 22nd, 2007 at 06:13 AM. |

That's the Optex-converted Fuji lens. The interesting thing about it is that it was introduced to the market during the XL1 era, quite a bit earlier than the XL2. When mounted on an XL1, the lens warning is there, but it's down in a corner of the display and it doesn't flash. I wasn't aware that this has changed with the XL2, but at any rate yes it is normal as there is no electronic communication between the camera head and that lens.

Many thanks....It does dissapear when you switch off all display items so once your set up you can get rid I guess.
