Outdoor Color Saturation at DVinfo.net

I'm shooting outdoors, late-spring, in a sunny park. My subjects will be wearing bright colored clothing (a la Napolean Dynamite), and I'm planning an Amelie-type look in post.

What would your recommendations be to maximize color saturation and sharpness?

I have a matte box w/flag and a polarizing filter. Anyone have other equipment recommendations or presets? I know the custom preset sticky has an "amelie" setting, but I'd prefer to get the best quality picture during filming and I'll handle those aesthetics in post. I'm still a bit of a novice so I could use the advice... thanks!
