Back focus problem I think.....
I have heard other members talking about back focus etc and I wanted to ask about my own camera to find out if this is the ame problem and how to resolve it.
When I am in manual focus during a wedding ceremony I will zoom in full on the person doing the readings, set my focus and pull out slightly to frame the shot, but the subject always goes out of focus, is this a common problem and can it be fixed? Many thanks in advance for your help Paul |

That's indeed a back focus issue. If you zoom in and get critical focus, the lens should hold it as you go back to wide.
Now for the bad news, on the stock 20X lens, it's not a user adjustable feature. It would have to go to Canon service. You didn't say which lens you have so I presume the 20X auto. If you have the 16x manual lens, you can adjust it yourself. -gb- |

Yes Greg, its the stock 20x lens.
It has only started this recently, is this a common problem with them and how long of a timescale does the fix take, do you have to send in the whole camera or just the lens? Thanks Paul |
