My XL2 has arrived!

Well I got my XL2 in the mail today and all ive got to say is "yyyeeeaaaa buddy." This thing exceeds all expectations I had and trust me those were high. Image quality is awesome, menu is easy (IMO) to use, presets are great, programmable focus = love, etc. etc. Very awesome product, although I feel im getting it a little late :). No worries though for me, its everything I could have wanted. Here are some of my first footage grabs:

DV Glory, man it feels good with it just sitting on the desk.

-Kyle, ;)

agreed Kyle,

I got mine in February and I'm very happy with it. Part of me felt like I was behind the curve and should've been looking at HDV, but for my purposes the XL2 has been great. HDV would've been overkill.

My goal was to be able to take footage that was pleasing to look at, shots with bright color, nice depth of field, 16x9, 24P.. the XL2 has really delivered.

Well Kyle, after looking at the second frame grab, I can see you have very good taste..an XL2 and a Black Labrador Retriever. Misty, shown here, is a 5 year old.

Congrats on your new camera. Be sure to download the Bluebarn Presets Manager from this forum and the wonderful presets provided by some talented XL2 owners.

Looks Great

I am still intimidated by the manual setting when I am shooting something that I will not be able to re-shoot.

The shot of your Lab looks great. The color is soft and i love the shallow depth of field.
