Scene with TV on

I know the XL2 is good at filming a scene where there is a TV or monitor turned ON whithout seeing the screen jumping all the way up. I had to shoot a similar thing like that last Tuesday and I forgot how to. It was one of those "hurry up we have no time shots" so I desist and shoot it with the monitor off. Duh!
Can anybody remind me how this is done?

thanks

Alexis

Look up 'clear scan' in your manual.
