how are you guys attaching a rod support while using the TA100?

hey all,
presently, the adapter with 4 screws mounts to the bottom of the XL2, and this assembly "clicks" into the TA100 quick release plate which is mounted to the dovetial of my bogen head - no problems...

but if i want to use the above assembly with a 15mm rod support assembly, it has to fasten directly to the XL2, because if it's anywhere underneath the ta100 adapter, i'd quick release away from the rod support assembly as well...

so, the rod support assembly has to fasten to the bottom of the camera - but then where does the adapter and the 4 screws fasten to??

do i have to have the bottom of the rod support especially tapped so i can mount the adapter, then the entire rig can just "click" back into the TA100...

i "borrowed" Alexis Vazquez's pictures he posted on this forum to illustrate how the TA100 mounts to the XL2 (without rod support) - WITH rod support is the quandry...

thanks Alexis...

any advise, pictures, or explainations would be greatly appreciated...

You can't use the TA-100 with a bracket, unless you drill out extra holes for the screws and locator pin, etc. I contacted Chrosziel, when I first got my XL2, but I've never had the time to follow up.

I just screw the tripod plate onto the bottom of the bracket. The one problem is that the knob that locks down the follow focus gets in the way. I've been thinking of getting a Sachtler Touch 'n' Go mount, but it's over 300 bucks. so I give the knob a turn when going on or off the tripod and then tighten it back up.
