Preset for the "Concert for Bangladesh" look
I plan on shooting some video of a band at a night club this Friday night. I'm sure the lighting is going to be poor - since the band does not have their own light show. Hopefully there will be some house lights.
I really like the look of the Concert for Bangladesh movie. Here is a link to some footage. You have to site through a 25 second advertisement first (sorry). Any ideas on a preset... or something to get me in the ball park? Looks like the blacks would be pressed. Very little detail in the blacks. http://www.vh1.com/movies/movie/6982...ch=yahoo.video Just click on one of the trailer clips.. Thanks.. Tim

That is old film from the 70s I believe. You can shoot with a slightly warm white balance, do not crush the blacks, leave them in the middle but adjust down the setup level. Also, you might want to lesson the saturation and turn down the sharpness... might want to shoot video color matrix as well.

Ash,
Thanks.... Could you suggest an existing preset (i.e. one of the ones that you created for Blue Barn). Perahps I could take one of these and sweak it. I just need some place to start. Thanks again...... Tim
