A question about progressive.

I just want to double check that the XL2 at 24pa will go capture in progressive. capture setting on advanced. is there anything else to make sure that it's capture/stored progressive?

Hey another Austinite!

Yes, you can capture in progressive from the XL2/24pa. If you're using Finalcut Pro, you will set your capture settings and sequence settings to 23.97fps advanced pulldown. In the field dominance, it should be set to 'none'. Same goes for the sequence setting. It's very simple, actually.

ya know i didn't see a field dominance option in the capture settings. i really hope that's not an FCP 5 thing, cuz i'm still oldschool enough to use 4.5
