Difference in 1st and 2nd Gen Lenses
Hi, I'm still on my way to buying the worlds greatest camera, the Canon XL2, and I would like to know what the differences are between the 1st and 2nd generation of the Canon 16x lens that came with the XL1 and then XL1s. I have seen the information on the Canon XL2 watchdog site but I am wondering if there are any real differences in how it works. I am looking at buying the XL2 body and a lens off of ebay or used from a place like B&H. So does the 1st gen lens have any problems to look out for or is there really not that much different. Any help would be great. Thanks, John Christensen.

John, I would definitely recommend to get the 2nd generation lens coming with the XL2. The 1st generation lens is ok in the tele end, but in the wide end its drawing is smooth.
