Store for the Canon XL2 and XLH1
Does anybody know a good store (not internet) to buy the XL2 or XLH1.
I'm looking for one nearby the Netherlands. Wy is it so difficult to find a store in western europe like for example B&H in New York. If anybody knows a good store please let me know..... If not maybe it is time to start one here...

Hi Obed, I asked the same question as you a couple of times (I live in Belgium).
It indeed is very difficult to find a store to find these cams. Online you could buy if from www.pixmania.com, but real stores are almost impossible to find. And in Belgium there are almost no good rental places too, that rent serious video equipment. budgetcam.nl is a good one from the netherlands, but in Belgium we don't have one like that, or they are ridiculously expensive (2 x times as expensive as budgetcam) But you are right, somebody should start a big store like B&H around here... |

Hello Mathieu, It is not only the store itself but also the prise.
I just looked at the site off B&H and if you see the prise 3645 dollar, that is about 2900 euro. If i compare that to the prises here in europe in normal shops then i pay here about 1500 euro more then in the us. And that for the exact same camera !

Couldn't you just buy it from B and H and have them ship it internationally? If not, do you have a relative or someone in the U.S. who could ship it to you from their address? You'd be paying for shipping twice (I guess), but it'd still be cheaper.
I know you said you wanted a physical store, but having never been to Western Europe I couldn't tell you where to find one. |

Well Geoff, we just mis in the europe stores like B&H.
Sometimes it is just nise to feel the camera before we buy it and that is the same with all other parts we need. As far as i know there are no places in europe were you can see 'life' the camera. That is really what i mis here. So if somebody is interesting to start a bussiness like B&H... i think there is still a huge open market here.
