BH pricing curiosity
does anyone know why the PAL version of the XL2 is $350 dollars cheaper than the NTSC version at BH photo video? I'm just curious because I'm considering buying one soon and I could use that extra money for other accessories.

You could put that extra money toward the PAL monitor you'll need in order to watch the video from that PAL XL2. Better to stick with the NTSC version in the first place!

Does it have a U.S. warranty? Could be the price difference. I bought a grey market digital SLR and it was chaper because it didn't have a USA warranty. I had to buy one separately, and it ended up being the same price as a USA model.... needless to say, I learned my lesson all those years ago.

oh, I was never planning to buy the PAL version, I was just curious why it was cheaper - just seems something from overseas would be more. It also isn't labelled as grey market which BH makes clear. I guess it's just one of those oddities.

My guess would be that you're seeing the law of supply and demand in action. They probably ordered too many PAL models and now they want to get rid of them so they've lowered the price...
