dust IN MY lens
Hey, I have noticed what appears to be dust INSIDE my lens...
um.. why? Any ideas? Matt |

could be a small hole inside the lens that is not noticable to the naked eye, but will allow dust in.
Do you see the dust on tape? If so - bring camera and lens to a repair shop and see if you can get it repaired. . . |

It may be the same hole in my 20x lens (yet to find it), as I actually had a bug in my lens, thankfully it either died or found its way out.

How is it possible to have a hole in the lens? Would I not notice said hole?

Every zoom lens acts like a pump when zooming because lenses or groups of lenses are moved inside the lens barrel. Therefore it can happen, that dust particles are sucked in (and pumped out again, may be).
As long as the dust does not show in the footage just forget about it.
