XL2 Problems
Well we had some more issues i wanted to see if someone has an idea
The first time we used it for an all day event (ice skating) we had a number of drop outs (video and audio). After cleaning the heads we filmed a funeral and a few other things and had no issues at all. Now we did another ice skating competition and very early on the viewfinder display started rolling horizontally. Because we have an external LCD attached we could keep working but this needs to be fixed now. Guess this will need a service in canon land. Anyone had a similar problem ? Also shortly into the second tape i cant see the timecode when playing the tapes on a JVC MiniDV VCR. It does still seem to show on the camera so it may seem like the camera heads are misaligned ? Older tapes recorded on the same camera still show the timecode on the VCR We also had some dropouts again but this time audio only and very short blips here and there I guess it is time to send her back to canon to get it checked out. Pretty much all the tapes so far play on the VCR so i guess it isnt an issue of they realign the heads.
