Audio, settings,
Hi there!
I work in a school and my job is to take all school photos and video all the school's shows, assemblies and events. A lot of my work involves being at the back of the hall with the audience (and their crying babies, mobile phones etc) recording the action going on at the other end of the hall. Some of the children are very young and their voices are quiet so I'd like to ask for some advice on what kind of microphone I should get. I need an omni-directional mic that I can suspend from the ceiling directly over the children. Also, I find that I always seem to get quite a loud hum that sometimes drowns out the kids' voices! What can I do about that? And lastly, does anyone have any good settings suggestions I can use for low light and stage lighting? I have loads of other questions I'd like to ask as am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the camera, but will save them for later!
Thanks and hope you can help!
