Macro Techniques
Can someone comment on their technique, including the necessary equipment, to get macro footage with an XL2?
I'm talking about filling the frame with something as small as a cell phone. |

Hello Javier,
1. Remove the lens hood. 2. Zoom out all the way full wide. 3. Add plenty of light to your subject. 4. Move the camera in as close as two centimeters from the lens to your subject. This is only briefly covered on page 40 of the manual. Hope this helps, Also, please note! The "search" tool is your friend! Here's mine:
1. Remove lens 2. Install Macro lens and adpater 3. Shoot! I was especially prompted to write this by the other thread here concerning removeable lenses on the XL2. For me one of the neatest things about the XL cameras is the ability to use a favorite old 105 mm 35mm still camera macro lens of mine with them. |
