Using Presets - Help Please
Hi, this is probably a really stupid question.
I have set a preset so it's crushed all the blacks (I'm going to be doing a shot in an attic lit by a single light source) and the preset is how I want it. However how do I film using this preset? I also plan to shoot the scene with more light and then alter the levels in post, just to see which comes out best. However as soon as I come out of the menu, the camera reverts to the normal settings, ie lighter and loads of noise. I have saved the preset. I've also tried pressing the record button whilst the preset is selected but the settings just revert back. I'm sure there's something obvious I'm missing :-) I'm using a Canon XL2. Thanks a lot, Adrian.

How long have you owned this camera, and have you used the presets before?

Re: Using Presets - Help Please
Hi Gary, embarrassingly I've owned it for 2 years but up to now I had never used the presets.
However I figured it out - I hadn't seen the buttons on top of the camera!!!
