EF adapter Vs 35mm adapter.
Hi all, I'm some what confused about this topic,I'm wanting my video footage to look "Film like"and have read alot about 35mm adapters like the Letus extreme, redrock and Cinevate Brevis also the Shoot35 were you can achieve great DoF and a proper film look. But what I'm confused about is,does the Canon EF adapter do the same job as the Letus,Brevis,shoot35 as it also allows you to us 35mm lenses with the XL2.Hope someone wiser than me can end my confusion.

Re: EF adapter Vs 35mm adapter.
No, the EF adapter does not do the same job of a 35mm adapter; it basically lets you mount EOS lenses on the XL2 body but with a magnifying factor of 6 or 7.
Is explained well here http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/canon-xl...-eos-lens.html Might come handy if you need an extreme telephoto, but bear in mind that there are others Eos to XL2 adapters way cheaper than the official Canon one. |
