Battery Cap
This is going to sound silly but does anyone know of a place online or has a spare body button battery cap they could sell me? Googling hasn't been much luck.
Years ago it popped off the side of the camera and I've never found it anywhere. As my XL2 has found itself more on the shelf these days I kind of wanted the camera to look whole again. Thanks! |

Just to update if anyone ever has the same problem, I called Canon support who directed me to the parts distributor who were able to send me a replacement cap for 7 dollars, shipping included. For the cap that is the size of a nickel, it was sent in a box about half the size of a shoe-box, ha-ha.

Matt, if you're like me you'll never throw that box out :) Run a tiny strip of black low tack Cling brand tape over that battery cap to anchor it down.
In fact I run strips of that tape over all exposed ports, XLRs etc. on my XH-A1 and A1s .. also drilled access holes in the rear caps to keep dust and crap out. I've seen what a year out working in the dusty open can do to the insides of a rig. More .. http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/canon-xh...ean-spray.html Cheers.
