Captureing preview problems with the XL2 and FCP at DVinfo.net

hi all,

I'm borrowing an XL2 from a friend at the moment and trying to capture my footage into final cut pro 4.5 HD. I can control the camera from FCP (with the XL2 on VCR mode) but i cant see the preview. However, i can see the footage in the view finder of the XL2 (the evf display is saying DV IN). i've messed around with all the settings i can find but cant seem to work out how to preview the footage in FCP. i'm sure its a little option/tick box somewhere that i'm missing but i cant find it!

i'm an XL1 owner and have never had this trouble before with that and my sony VTR is bust at the moment.

please help!

Hello Ru. I use FCPHDand I shoot with an XL2 however I do not capture with mine. But I can tell you that you may want to try posting your question here

Quicker response time and it doesn't seem like FCP is the editing software of choice on this board.
