Mounting things on the XL2?
Hi Folks,
I am looking into mounted lights and wireless LAVs for the XL2 and I am wondering, how do you mount the light, and 2 wireless receivers on it? Is there some special adaptor/bracket to use that would triple the one on the top? Or maybe I am totally misunderstanding how to mount these 3 items. Brian

Lights usually go in the accessory shoe on the handle. There are various ways to mount receivers on the metal bracket on the back, sticky back velcro comes to mind. Not sure how folks mount their wireless receivers on the back of the XL2. You might try going to the audio forum and asking.

Thanks Mark.
Someone else also suggested just using velcro. I thought perhaps since this is probably a common thing, maybe there was a specific accessory bracket available for that type of thing. Thanks again for the response, Brian

I use velcro. Works like a charm.

Yes, I put velcro on the accessory plate that mounts on the back. Then put velcro in the receiver. Pop it on, pop it off. Works like a charm!
As someone metioned before, the light mounts on the hotshoe. Jay |

You might want to check out this adapter plate...
http://www.bracket1.com/wireless_microphone/bracket.htm Brian at Zotz Digital told me about it. You can get it through him also. Kevin |
