Alternative Mounts for the 7" Nebtek

I've seen two ways of mounting an LCD monitor to an XL2. The most common way is on the accessorie shoe, and then I think someone had a post where they mounted it to the back bracket (although this was a Lilliput...but its the same concept).
Has anyone thought of/tried a way to mount it somewhere more convienient for handheld usage like say on the rail where the EVF mounts? Naturally the EVF would have to come off.
Would this be possible? Would it be too much weight to put on that rail? Any thoughts?
