Putting Video on here
I have some XL2 footage for our ww2 movie, how do i put it on a site to host from and is there any sites that will do that that you guys know of? I really want to you guys to give me some feedback on this footage. Thanks

Hi Forbes,
Simple upload your .mov or .wmv file to your isp provided web space and then post the link here. Your file will not be embedded at dvinfo, but will be resident at your isp. There is a nice ftp program available for free at download dot com called blazeftp. |

do i want avi? wmv? or mov for size??

For most of the windows users here, a compressed wmv will be perfect. Version9. Set it up at 320x240 for lan/dsl modems. 32000 or 22000hz 16 bit stereo for the audio stream.
This should yeild about 1.5 to 2 megs per minute at a viewable compression. |

Quicktime is also pretty good. It ensures that both Windows and Mac users can view it, and the filesize can be pretty small. Definitely shy away from .avi for web video. It's impossible to get down to a managable size.
