wide angle lens

for thouse how are looking for an inexspensive wide adaptor for your xl2 .just bought a 72 mm wide adaptor paid $179 .its made by Digital Optics i think the importer is Sakar International Edison NJ .its cheap but works pretty good . at full wide you notice ever so slight radius of lens real slight .at full tele in bright lite theres a little hazz arround outer edge .the rest is good . for 179 its a nice addition to my xl2 . oh it works perfect on my 14x .dp

Is it zoom through? I am wondering if you could post a few frame grabs in 16x9 mode showing the "haze" around the edges. I have been toying with a lot of wide angle adapters and have avoided these "digital Optics" as I have heard they are very low quality. WOuld love to see the the fall off on the outer edge of the lens......especially in 16x9. Also...is it a .7x or .5x?

Thanks!
Marty
