Wobbly lens
Hi, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I just got myself an XL-2 and I noticed a peculiar feature that doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere. When I power up the camera (or when it is activated from stand-by) the front element of the 20X lens wobbles for a few seconds before settling down! Since it does this consistently every time, I'm guessing that this is part of the camera's powering up protocol, but I could be wrong, and maybe there's something drastically wrong with my lens! Could someone please enlighten me? I haven't noticed anything about this in the manual, but I cannot swear that it is not there.
Thanks in advance - Shekar |

This is a normal action of the camera. Even my old GL1 (before I sold it) did this to an extent. There's definitely nothing to worry about.

Thanks Brent, you've set my mind at ease. I'm really thrilled to be a part of this XL-2 forum. Living here in India, there is really no one to turn to for guidance.

You'll find it's a really great resource. There are always lots of people who are more than willing to help. I've learned a lot in the short time I've been a member here.
