Head Cleaner for XL2-Non Canon
Has anyone used a non-Canon head cleaner? I have a Panasonic Hard Type cleaner that came with a deck a couple of years ago. Is this the same as a "dry" cleaner and is it okay for the XL2?
I don't plan on cleaning much as I know it kills heads, but the manual says to do it with a new camera. Anyone have thoughts or experience with this? Thx. Kevin |

Brand makes no difference as far as head-cleaners go.

Thanks, Chris. I assume (though when dealing with my camera heads, I don't like to) that the "dry" cleaner type that Canon recommends is the same as the "hard type" that Panasonic has listed. Thoughts?

The head cleaning tape that came with my Sony DSR11 is "wet" I use dry tapes in my Canon XL2, so I bought a
Pannasonic AY-DVMCLA head cleaning tape. In the upper right hand corner of the label, it says "Dry Type" in blue letters. |
