Industry examples...

hello all.
I am obviously new to this forum and i am very interested in possibly becoming a member of the xl2 family. i am posting now because of a couple things ive read on this forum so far concerning commercials and movies being shot with the xl2. i was wondering if anyone knows of any sites that contain some sort of database listing which cameras were used for particular movies such as xl2 and others. if not then maybe someone can point me to a site displaying projects shot with the xl2 specifically. i would really apreciate any url suggestions. i apologize if this thread has been posted by another, the main reason i havent had time to search this forum completely is that i do not have internet access and am online on borrowed time. again any help in this would be appreciated.

thank you.

Hello Steve and welcome aboard DVInfo.net!

The only "database" I know of that (sometimes!) list such information
is IMDB (Internet Movie DataBase)

However: it looks like you need IMDB Pro (costs money) to search
on camera though, also see the following thread:

Regarding projects done with the XL2, that's also tough to find
(also since the camera is pretty new still). However, I did a search
on the board limiting it to our "DV for the masses" forum (where
people posts their movies) with the XL2 as keyword and found
a couple of threads that hopefully get you started:

http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...threadid=37872
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...threadid=36937

And this was a nice (film noir) piece done on the XL2:

And a nice shoot in Mexico:
