End Search function won't work. at DVinfo.net

When I push the end search button on my XL2 it just flashes a purple end search sign for a few seconds. I have used the end search function before and it worked fine then one day it just stopped working.

Hi Caleb. Are you aware that if you open the tape compartment the end search stops working until you record some more footage? This is probably mentioned in the manual.
