I'd probably grab a handful of the Nikkors I use with my still camera: 17-35mm, 28-70mm, primes... I have used these with the XL cameras (without the mini35) and gotten excellent results. It's just one heck of a lot easier to build a sharp prime or 3:1 zoom with reasonable focal length range than a 20:1 or even 3:1 when the minimum focal lenth is 3.4 mm!
