century optics .6x adapter will work. It is not full zoom through. Their .7x is zoom through but is currently not compatible with the xl2. They are supposedly re-engineering it to work. But who knows when that will be. If you decide to go with the .6x you might have a hard time finding it. I ordered mine from zgc and they had 0 in stock. They called century and bought the last 2 they had on hand.

There has been such little demand since the XL1 has lost its momentum that century has cut production on them. They told me then intend to make more but supply and demand could jack up the dealers prices for a while.

Just what I have heard.

Hey Marty,

Do you know of any image loss (quality) when using the .6 adapter?

I can neither confirm or deny the existence of image loss. Seriously I used it consistently with the XL1 and didn't notice any quality loss. However rumor has it that the XL2 lens is very sharp and clear in comparison to the XL1 so I am anxious to see if there is any loss of resolution or clarity.
