shipping
how soon will this camera be shipping??? i JUST bought a DVX-100A (now kicking myself) and am wondering when the XL-2 will be shipping. i only have a few days left to return the DVX, but i'm scheduled to start filming my next movie in just under a month... any chance of getting an XL-2 by then?

Kits should be shipping next month (August) and body only (no lens) may ship sooner (historically that the way it happened with XL1 etc.).

Really Jeff? Body with no lens earlier than full kit? Interesting, in New Zealand it's totally the opposite. I don't think we got body only deals on the Xl1s for nearly a year after!

dan,
i would delay the movie shoot and return that panny for xl2. the interchange-able lens alone makes it worthwhile... remember, buying this cam is for the long term. you shooting that movie can be changed. this can't.
