By the way, when browsing the XL2 Watchdog, be sure to catch these two primary pages:

The XL2 Skinny

and

The Watchdog's Unofficial XL2 F.A.Q.

Thanks,

Chris,

Thanks so much for all your information. Your site answered all my questions about the XL2 within the first few hours after it was announced.

As for the camera...short of being HDV, it is really a beautiful machine. I think it will bridge the gap nicely until HDV takes hold. The resolution specs look great and the larger eyepiece/LCD screen looks like a great solution too. I just saw a short piece produced by a friend of mine on the Panasonic 24P camera, and for the first time in my life I was fooled into assuming it was 16mm film...and the XL2 will do the same only with native 16x9 and higher resolution. I'm knocked out.

Thanks again for the fine service you're providing here.

Steve

Thanks, Steve -- when one finally shows up in Austin, I hope you'll be the first to check it out.
