taking the XL2 mic apart...?

my mic got a little love tap the other day, still works ok... but there is a little piece of plastic or something rattling around inside (near the base, not the screen) ...took the two screws on the side out but it doesn't seem to open up... any advice? i'd hate to get another one when this one still works... don't want a loud random intermittent rattle either...

thanks!
